Description:"Adapted PE without Gravity?"  Learn more about how to re-think your physical education program in non-conventional ways. Participants will learn about activities/games/lessons/units that take "gravity" out of consideration. Learn how to teach skills in a manner thatmakes all students feel more successful in your physical education classes.  For example:
  • We'll include adapted volleyball, baseball/softball, basketball, soccer and short handled striking.
  • Using a string that gets strapped between two objects and a projector teachers can get the most out of their teaching time in Adapted PE with more severe students.
  • This eliminates chasing after the ball, slows the equipment down to allow students to make contact on their time and limits movement of the ball to increase accuracy.
  • This session has movement and digital components to help classroom helpers, aides and other helpers in the gym during PE to keep everyone on task.
