Description: Learn how to teach an Essential Standards health topic that inspires students to make healthy choices and plan bright futures.  Free health education lesson plans included!
Background:The Healthy Foundations for Future Families curriculum was developed in 2005 by Randi Rubenstein, M.S. Public Health.  Topics include life-goals, healthy relationships, perils of teenage parenting, preconception/prenatal health including the risks of prenatal alcohol and drugs, fatherhood, absent fathers, prevention of child abuse and neglect, and positive parenting techniques.
  • The interactive program includes a student workbook, PPT slides, videos, props, role play, discussion, and activities.  
  • Teens consistently state positive effects: over 92% of surveyed ETP students report that they are more motivated to postpone parenting until adulthood and will be better able to care for a future family as a result of the Healthy Foundations program.  
  • ETP has directly instructed over 8,000 teens as of April 2019.
